What’s New
There are two significant changes in Office 2007 outlined below.  To learn about additional changes, visit What's New in Office 2007.

1.     Ribbon

The menus and toolbars have been replaced with the Ribbon, shown below.  The Ribbon brings the most popular commands to the forefront, so you don't have to hunt in various parts of the program for things you do all the time.  Each tab in the Ribbon relates to a type of activity, such as Mailings.

2.     File Formats

The new file formats automatically compress files and are more compatible with other applications.  Previous versions of Office applications will not be able to open files created in the new Office 2007 file formats without plug-ins.  This will require attention for correspondence with individuals without Office 2007.  For additional information, please visit the MSDN page.
