Microsoft Windows 7 was officially released to consumers on October 22, 2009. We are very excited about Windows 7 and the new features it brings with it. If you would like to see Windows 7 please stop by the Computing Services Desk. We have a notebook computer available next to the desk for the Bentley community to "try out". We would love to hear your feedback on the newest operating system offered by Microsoft.

When will Bentley begin supporting Windows 7?
Client Services has been participating in the Microsoft TechNet early release program since May 2009. During that time we have been testing the beta version of Windows 7 and educating ourselves on how the product works. We are working with key areas of our community to ensure that the production version of Windows 7 will work without issues regarding Bentley technology and applications. A full implementation plan will be put in place once we have fully tested Windows 7 in our environment. Check back soon for more details!
Can I receive Bentley support if I'm running Windows 7?
We cannot offer the same support model as we do fully supported products such as Vista and XP. We will of course extend our "best effort" to fix problems and answer questions. We extend a best effort to all unsupported applications and operations.
Can I print to Library Print or Library Color Print if I'm running Window 7?
Yes, to install printers please visit deploy.bentley.edu (on-campus only).
Can I access the Bentley wireless network if I'm running Windows 7?
Yes, the Bentley wireless network is available to Windows 7 users.
