All full-time Bentley employees are on a three-year computer replacement cycle.

FY 09-10

Dell Optiplex 745s and the Lenovo T60s will be replaced

FY 10-11

HP dc7800s and Lenovo T61s will be replaced

FY 11-12

HP dc7900s and HP 6930s will be replaced

Department Heads and Key users will determine the hardware needs of each employee eligible for replacement. If an employee currently has a desktop computer and a request is submitted for a notebook computer, staff must obtain divisional VP approval and faculty must obtain approval from their respective Department Chair.

Please be aware that peripherals for a notebook, including docking station, external monitor, and keyboard/mouse are not included and will be charged to the department when requested.  

 this year is Microsoft Windows Vista Enterprise, replacing Windows XP.  Office 2007 and all other applications will remain the same.  Vista has been well received by students and others who have already made the transition. Individuals slated for replacements that are identified as having incompatibles with Vista and existing applications will continue with XP.
